Anyone who is anyone or anyone who wants to be someone is a something slash something nowadays. It usually goes along the lines of ‘something creative’ [which they aren’t really good at] followed by / ‘work in retail or a café’ [which they aren’t really good at either]. AKTIFMAG’s/slashie/of/the/week aims to honour those who are pushing the slashie boundaries/envelope/limits. If you spot your own tweet them to us @AKTIFMAG or email them in.
This week we have quite the slashie. Not only does he use his slashie as a claim to fame [claiming fame for 3 different slashes] he also talks about himself in some sort of slashie third person. To him the slashie isn’t just a label or extension. He is the slashie.
So next time someone asks him something like ‘What would you like for dinner Sam?’ he can reply:
“The actor/singer/songwriter/AKTIFMAG’s/slashie/of/the/week wants either Chinese/Mexican/Vietnamese.”
This week there was only one clear winner. Usually a slashie involves a normal blue collar money making backbone, something that isn’t a hobby. But not this one, giving us not only one, nor two but a whopping three slashes and all of them creative! You wonder just how someone would be able to find the time to master all those arts, well after this week she’ll be lucky enough to be: blogger/artist/actress/photographer/AKTIFMAG’s/slashie/of/the/week.
This week’s slashie is a staple of the slashie world, nothing fancy just your nuts and bolts slashie. The difference here is our slashette has added an air of mystery to the normal cool job/my real job slashie answer. She leads with the creative title of ‘Designer’, a ‘designer’ of what isn’t made clear. The second part is just as mysterious itself – ‘in retail’. She doesn’t give much away so one could guess she designs shopping centres and then builds them? That would cover ‘design’ and ‘in retail’ Or maybe she really just works in a shop? It doesn’t matter what she does because this mysterious little lady can now be designer/in retail/AKTIFMAG’s/slashie/of/the/week.
